Story
Chad’s Life Saving Surgery
What: Chad’s life saving surgery
Where: Dattenln, Germany: Spine Connection
When: As Soon As the Funds are raised!!
How: Advanced Medical team has already accepted his case… we just have to prove funds since insurance won’t be involved.
Why: His life is at risk due to negligence, and malpractice. His symptoms are progressing and he needs our help now.
Chad’s quickly deteriorating condition has led us to turn to YOU: our family, friends, community, and strangers to make this feat possible. We have exhausted our funds, resources, and all US medical options over the last almost three years. While trying to remain hopeful and positive, each day fear overshadows us with the possibility that we may lose our little brother for good. We are pleading, please help.
Here’s a breakdown of Chad’s current condition, situation, and our goal for this GoFundMe.

Cost to be raised:

Timeline/Medical Malpractice and lack of care:
-Ran over by dump truck 9/4/22
-Life flighted to Kootenai County Hospital coded Trauma level 3.
-The injuries discovered were multiple hip fractures, and dislocated hip
-The hospital did NOT follow trauma protocol.
-The hospital did NOT clear Chad’s spine of injury, missing multiple fractures. Including a L5 fracture which they put a BOLT into to secure the hip.
-The hospital made Chad walk TWICE on a fractured hip!
-The surgeon performed hip surgery, putting a bolt into a fractured vertebra.
-Chad suffered autonomic dysreflexia and then a mini-stroke
-The surgeon then called for more x-rays after chad was monitored and stable.
-Surgeon then convinced Chad a second surgery was best/necessary for his hip. In which he attempted to cover up his mistakes. This was when a plate and screws were placed.
-They lied and entered into Chad’s chart that his spine issues preexisting.
-In post surgery follow up appts, Chad complained on back pain. This was dismissed from the doc and said part of his recovery.
-Incomplete post-op treatment
-Chad attempted care at another provider and was denied care.
-Denied care again: turns out it is the same owner of the medical facilities from Northern Idaho throughout Spokane, Wa.
-His PCP sent out referrals to specialists across the state.
-Meanwhile Chads symptoms are progressing, his disk slowly disintegrating.
-Chad got accepted to UW medical facilities, but put on a 4 month wait list.
-The appt came and last only 10 mins. The surgeon said he didn’t do that type of surgery and referred him to another surgeon at UW… again on a 3 month waitlist just for the consultation.
-Meanwhile Chad is losing capabilities and is in constant pain.
